Treat value of variable as env variable
Hi All,

I have a requirement where I have a config file, which contains 2 coulmn.values of first column are environmnet variable, whose value is defined in an environment file.

In my script I need to read the config file, and get the value of the config file variable from env file.

I have written below code. But its is not able to interprite the value from environment file.

environment file details.

Code:
export CONFIG=${APPS}/bin/config/${Application}
export DATA=${APPS}/DATA/${Application}

config file

Code:
CONFIG 30
DATA    30

My code

 for Dir in ${Directory[@]} ;

echo $Dir

Expected result:
Code:
Echo $DIR 
 
 ${APPS}/bin/config/${Application}
${APPS}/DATA/${Application}

Current Result :
Code:
echo $DIR 
 
CONFIG 
DATA

I tried with various options as echo `$DIR`, echo ${Dir} but nothing is helping.

I can make any suggested changes in config file, but can't make changes in evnrionment file.

Appriciate your help.

Doubt on ENV variable

Question 1: If I set ENV=$HOME/myenvprofile.ksh, will my script get executed when ever I login to my with KSH. My doubt is we used to put this in .profile of our home directory. Hello, I want to cange env variable on SunOS. I tried: export GONGA=$GONGA:/users/BANK1/basic/queues/SARON_SPACE1 it changed it only localy for my session. when i opened a new session (telnet etc') the old value exist. How can I change it to effact all sessions. Thanks. (2 Replies)

Deny from env=env-variable Does not work

(Above from Apache docs). On my system, using: SetEnvIf User-Agent Mozilla IsBad=1 Order allow,deny Allow from all Deny from env=IsBad ...I see that environment variable is set (using phpinfo()) but the page is still served. No errors in the Apache logs. (1 Reply)

       npm-config - Manage the npm configuration files

SYNOPSIS

         npm config set <key> <value> [-g|--global]
         npm config get <key>
         npm config delete <key>
         npm config list [-l] [--json]
         npm config edit
         npm get <key>
         npm set <key> <value> [-g|--global]

         aliases: c

DESCRIPTION

       npm gets its config settings from the command line, environment variables, npmrc files, and in some cases, the package.json file.

       See npm help 5 npmrc for more information about the npmrc files.

       See npm help 7 npm-config for a more thorough discussion of the mechanisms involved.

       The npm config command can be used to update and edit the contents of the user and global npmrc files.

Sub-commands
       Config supports the following sub-commands:

   set
         npm config set key value

       Sets the config key to the value.

       If value is omitted, then it sets it to "true".

   get
         npm config get key

       Echo the config value to stdout.

   list
         npm config list

       Show all the config settings. Use -l to also show defaults. Use --json to show the settings in json format.

   delete
         npm config delete key

       Deletes the key from all configuration files.

   edit
         npm config edit

       Opens the config file in an editor.  Use the --global flag to edit the global config.
