I need some help with sending mail out from my UNIX server:
It is running Solaris 2.6 and the sendmail version is 8.8.
Output of :/usr/lib/sendmail -d0.1 -bt < /dev/null
Version 8.8.8+Sun

Hi.
I want to attach a .xls or .dat file while sending mail thru unix.
I have come across diff attachments sending options, but allthose embeds the content in the mail. I want the attachement to be send as such.
Please help me out.

Using Mailx command i.e
mailx -s "subject" chinni@hotmail.com < \tmp\chin
this command executed sucessfully but not able to receive the mail in chinni@hotmail.com

usr/bin/mail 'subject" "mail_id" < file.
a mail goes to the mail-id with the content of file.But I want the file to be atttached to the mail.How can I get it.is there any way for this.

wcwidth - number of column positions of a wide-character code
SYNOPSIS

int wcwidth(wchar_t wc);
DESCRIPTION
The wcwidth() function determines the number of column positions required for the wide character wc. The value of wc must be a character
representable as a wchar_t, and must be a wide-character code corresponding to a valid character in the current locale.
RETURN VALUES
The wcwidth() function either returns 0 (if wc is a null wide-character code), or returns the number of column positions to be occupied by
the wide-character code wc, or returns -1 (if wc does not correspond to a printing wide-character code).
