Thanks for your response. So you suggeste to install ksh88 , ksh93 on new Linux Server inorder to have existing Application Scripts to work fine.

I am trying to set some environment variables in a shell script which is written in Kshell. I am invoking this script in .profile. I am currently facing new problem of migrating C(c language) application from AIX machine to Linux machine. We are using GCC to compile the source code..
But facing with the compilation issues, with lot of GCC C libs differing between AIX box to Linux box...

/usr/bin/sleep
sleep suspends execution for at least the integral number of seconds specified by time.
ksh93
sleep suspends execution for at least the time in seconds specified by time or until a SIGALRM signal is received.

The following operands are supported for /usr/bin/sleep:
time time in seconds can be specified as a non-negative decimal integer number.

time Specify time in seconds as a floating point number. The actual granularity depends on the underlying system, normally around 1 mil-
