Dang android - I have been continuing to work on it, but have not been able to log in as of yet (or get it to boot into single user mode 'boot -s').

As it is firing up, it passes post but then almost looks like it starts throwing parity errors from the console as it becomes somewhat garbage. It later comes back to being clear readable text at a login screen. Somehow in the move of the machine I lost track of the transceiver from the back so it's also throwing those errors. I think I have a spare around here somewhere, if not I'm heading back to San Jose tomorrow to see if I can pick one up at WeirdStuff.
