I want to create 20 file using simple script - listed bellow-.
But the script doesn't work.
I hope anyone guide me to correct this script

why won't below work?
I am trying to see
a)sipfile has username of the system.
b)it will read the sipfile and do a grep function against the /etc/passwd
c)it will save that output to /tmp/result..
but my script is just hanging...

Echo “incorrect user”
This is my first stab...which doesn't work:

I am constantly automaticaly downloading a few things on the internet but since my internet connection is unstable, it sometimes wont work. i am having 2 linux boxes as source and 1 linux box as destination.i want to create a shell script containing code to transfer a csv file from either of the 2 linux boxes (file will be present in just one box, i need to check both the boxes to see which box has the csv file) to 3rd linux box... Hi Folks,
I am trying to copy a directory along with sub-directories to SFTP server.
I have connected to SFTP and tried to run the below command:
sftp> get -r abc/*
It is throwing the error Invalid flag -r
Can you please let me know the ways to copy a directory from Local to SFTP

sftp-server implements the server side of the SSH File Transfer Protocol as defined in the IETF draft-ietf-secsh-filexfer. sftp-server is a subsystem for sshd(1M) and must not be run directly.
