Does anybody know how I can check if a file exists
i.e. see bellow, this doesn't work by the way and if tried countless variations on this

I need a script which basically deltes all files in folder a which are alreasy present in folder b
say folder a has files abc.txt
pqr .txt
and b has abc.txt
pqr.txt
rmr.txt

I am trying to create a bash script which will check if file exist then remove that file else do nothing. I have to do same process for three files in same script. I have written code for one file and trying to run it.

I created following script to check if file exist:
#!/bin/bash
SrcDir=$1
SrcFileName=$2
SrcTimePeriod=$3
if ;then
echo 1
else
echo 0
fi
I ran it like: /apps/Scripts/FileExist.sh /apps/Inbox file1 2nd_period_2010

Im trying to build a script that (among other stuff) checks each line in a file for the $4 "variabel" and if there are a folder in the directory that has that not has the same name as that it create a folder, otherwise it wont do anything. new [sequences] [-mode mode] [-folders foldersfile] [-version] [-help] fnext is equivalent to new -mode fnext fprev is equivalent to new -mode fprev unseen is equivalent to new -mode unseen DESCRIPTION
New in its default mode produces a one-line-per-folder listing of all folders containing messages in the listed sequences or in the sequences listed in the profile entry "Unseen-Sequence". Each line contains the folder, the number of messages in the desired sequences, and the message lists from the .mh_sequences file. For example: foo 11.* 40-50 bar 380. 760-772 824-828 total 391. The `*' on foo indicates that it is the current folder. The last line shows the total number of messages in the desired sequences. New crawls the folder hierarchy recursively to find all folders, and prints them in lexicographic order. Override this behavior by provid- ing foldersfile containing the pre-sorted list of folders new should check, one per line. In fnext and fprev modes, new instead changes to the next or previous matching folder, respectively. In unseen mode, new executes scan sequences for each matching folder. FILES
