You might want to try one of the less complicated methods first, namely the variant using "find" and the inode-number.
Use an "ls -i" to list the files with inode-numbers, capture that to a file and delete all the lines with files which should stay. Then read this file and execute for every line the "rm", like in this sketch of a script:

On AIX 5200-07-00 I have a find command as following to delete files from a certain location that are more than 7 days old. I am being told that I cannot use -exec option to delete files from these directories.

pvm_gettid - Returns the tid of the process identified by a group name and instance number.
SYNOPSIS
C int tid = pvm_gettid( char *group, int inum )
Fortran call pvmfgettid( group, inum, tid )
PARAMETERS
group Character string that contains the name of an existing group.
inum Integer instance number of the process in the group.
tid Integer task identifier returned.
DESCRIPTION
The routine pvm_gettid returns the tid of the PVM process identified by the group name group and the instance number inum. If pvm_gettid
is successful, tid will be > 0. If some error occurs then tid will be < 0.
EXAMPLES

tid = pvm_gettid("worker",0);
Fortran:
