Downloaded putty and it works perfectly. I was hoping to use VNC to see the actually Desktop. Thanks for the feedback.

I need to be able to take control of the native X server ( :0.0 ) on AIX5.3 workstations via VNC to be able to assist users...seeing what they are doing is much better than them telling me what they are doing.
I know that this can be done on linux so it should doable on AIX.

when i try to open the vncserver i get: Xvnc is not in your PATH, how do i add it to the PATH ? and how do i install it if i need to do that,

SYNTAX
xrdp [ --nodaemon | --kill | --help ]
DESCRIPTION
xrdp is a Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) Server.
Unlike Windows NT/2000/2003 server, xrdp will not display a Windows desktop but an X window desktop to the user.
It can also be used as a VNC->RDP bridge.
OPTIONS
-n, --nodaemon
Starts xrdp in foreground instead of starting it as a daemon.
-k, --kill
Kills running xrdp daemon.
-h, --help
Output help information and exit.
