You can create a control file with the list of SFTP commands and pass it:-

Let us assume that we are transferring 3 files: file1, file2, file3 and file4 is older than 3 days, then control file should be like:-

cat sftp_control.cntrl
put file1
put file2
put file3
rm file4

Then run the control file:-

sftp -b sftp_control.cntrl user@hostname

You can create control file using a shell script which will help you to identify 3 days older files.
