Thank you, Revo. Some of my main concerns are what is the order of patching. My supposition is I patch the control domains first and then the guest domains, but that is only a supposition. I appreciate any more insight you can provide.

Has any one installed and used VxVM5.1 in a Ldom .. i was able to install it but when i try to initialize a disk it gives me following error
as the disks are imported from ZFS backend .. :-( and they does not show the target no.

server was down with hardware issue and we couldn't took the LDOM configuration backup. Now system-board replaced and we need to get recreate OLD LDOM configuration. please advice with me the possible solution. :mad::(

Hi,
I am new to Solaris LDOMs.
I just need to confirm if I save the guest LDOM configuration. Destroy the LDOM and need to use exported xml file to setup same LDOM, is OS installation required or everything will come as it is for new LDOM.

NAME
asadmin-list-domains, list-domains - lists the domains in the given domains directory
SYNOPSIS
list-domains [--domaindir install_dir/domains] [--terse=false] [--echo=false]
list-domains lists the domains in the given domains directory. This command is supported in local mode only.
OPTIONS
--domaindir directory where the domains are located. If specified, path must be accessible in the filesystem. If not specified,
the domains in the default install_dir/domains directory are listed.
--terse indicates that any output data must be very concise, typically avoiding human-friendly sentences and favoring well-
formatted data for consumption by a script.
--echo setting to true will echo the command line statement on the standard output.
Example 1: Using list-domains
asadmin> list-domains
List of domains:
domain1 running
samples not running
Where: the domain1 and samples are listed and their status printed.
EXIT STATUS
0 command executed successfully
1 error in executing the command
