Hello PSP, I think the best way once you extended the virtual lun might be to use a bootable linux CD. It is a long procedure and risky but it can be done.

Is there any SUSE enterprise 12 x86_32 version available? I have SUSE enterprise 12 x86_64 and I am unable to compile 32 programs in that. It looks to be that gcc compiler (32 bit) does not come with SUSE 12. How can I get that?

Hi,
I need to extend a soft partition from 20G to 100G. New disk is already added as a meta device. This soft partition is already assigned to a guest LDOM. Can someone let me know the steps to increase soft partition so guest LDOM can recognize the new space.

forcesalvage
FORCESALVAGE(5) AFS File Reference FORCESALVAGE(5)
NAME
FORCESALVAGE - Forces salvage of entire partition
DESCRIPTION
The FORCESALVAGE file, if present on an AFS server partition (that is, in a /vicep directory), signals that the Salvager must salvage the
entire partition. The AFS-modified version of the fsck program creates the empty (zero-length) file when it discovers corruption on the
partition. The Salvager removes the file when it completes the salvage operation.
When the File Server detects the presence of the file on a partition on which it is attaching volumes, it stops, detaches any volumes that
are already attached, and exits after recording a message in the /var/log/openafs/FileLog file. The Bos Server then invokes the Salvager to
salvage the partition.
