I am getting the following
9110-510 2way 1.5 Ghz with APV
AIX 6.1 preloaded for testing purposes
3GB RAM
2 x 73GB 10k HDD
6230 SSA adapter (i have a ssa disk array so i can do the disk stuff)
the question is this, can i setup two lpars on the one 9110-510, fail over to and from the lpars under the same box, or do you think i will need to get two of the 9110-510 boxes,
and for an hmc i am buying the following 7310-Cr3 HMC,
Version 7

Whenever I assign/unassign a CDROM ( RAID CTRL ) to Active LPAR from HMC, I have to reboot the LPAR.
How can I do it without rebooting the LPARS.

Does anyone know of a command that can be run on the lpar to show the name of the lpars managing HMC?
We have a large environment and records a little old on which HMC manages which lpars....if i could login to an lpar and just issue a command to show me its managing hmc that would be great. (2 Replies)

rackdiag - generate rack-structure-diagram image file from spec-text file.
SYNOPSIS
rackdiag [options] files
DESCRIPTION
This manual page documents briefly the rackdiag commands.
rackdiag is generate sequence-diagram image file from spec-text file.
OPTIONS
These programs follow the usual GNU command line syntax, with long options starting with two dashes (`-'). A summary of options is
included below. For a complete description, see the Info files.
-h, --help
show this help message and exit.
--version
show program's version number and exit.
-a, --antialias
Pass diagram image to anti-alias filter.
-c FILE, --config=FILE
read configurations from FILE.
-o FILE
write diagram to FILE.
-f FONT, --font=FONT
use FONT to draw diagram.
-T TYPE
Output diagram as TYPE format.
