How to generate graph from flat file by using unix script
Hi, I need to generate graph from the text file in Unix server.
The file contains the following data,
Fri Feb 03 07:01:00 PST 2012|3325
Fri Feb 03 07:02:00 PST 2012|3349
Fri Feb 03 07:03:00 PST 2012|3290
Fri Feb 03 07:04:00 PST 2012|3496
Fri Feb 03 07:05:00 PST 2012|3362
Fri Feb 03 07:06:00 PST 2012|3447
Fri Feb 03 07:07:00 PST 2012|3329
Fri Feb 03 07:08:00 PST 2012|3519

I have to create link in web browser which will generate the graph from the above data available in Unix server. The time is X-axis and value is Y-axis. Please help experts! Thanks in advance!

NAME
convdate - convert time/date strings and numbers
SYNOPSIS
convdate [ -c ] [ -n ] [ -s ] arg...
DESCRIPTION
Convdate translate the date/time strings specified as arguments on its command line, outputing the results one to a line.
OPTIONS
-c If the ``-c'' flag is used, then each argument is taken to be a time_t and is output in ctime format.
-n If the ``-n'' flag is used, then each argument is taken as a date string to be parsed by parsedate(3) and is output as a time_t; see
time(2).
-s If the ``-s'' flag is used, then each argument is taken as a date string to be parsed by parsedate(3) and is output as a string for-
matted by ctime(3). This is the default.

% convdate 'feb 10 10am'
