Well, first of all if you are not so sure about PowerVM virtualization, I would recommend that you take look at the below site:

It also includes lots of videos on how PowerVM works, what LPAR is, what physical CPU and virtual CPU, how PowerVM manages CPU and memory pools, and many more.
There are very good IBM RedBooks as well on PowerVM and virtualization.
Besides the specific features, PowerVM hypervisor is no different than VMWare ESX or Citrix XEN. LPAR is just a fancy name of a "virtual machine". But PowerVM leaves the others out of the race taking full advantage of Power systems in optimized usage of the resources. Thus, very interesting to learn.
Good that you have interest on the platform you are working on. I have a very vague idea about SAS, but I am one of the admins who is responsible for the AIX and other UNIX servers on which SAS runs for our client.
It's always a good idea to be aware of the surroundings!

System FreeBSD.
Issue: I see that system idle = 0% in the same time top and other commands show that all process eat 0% of cpu.
System calls 98%
CPU states: 7.9% user, 0.0% nice, 91.8% system,<==!!!
But top does not show any process which eats more than 0%

Hello Friends,
On one of my Solaris 10 box, CPU usage shows 100% using "sar", "vmstat". However, it has 4 CPUs and prstat and glance are not showing enough processes to justify high CPU utilization.

The mfi driver provides support for the MegaRAID SAS family of RAID controllers, including: - Dell PERC 5/e, PERC 5/i, PERC 6/e, PERC 6/i - Intel RAID Controller SRCSAS18E, SRCSAS144E - LSI Logic MegaRAID SAS 8208ELP, MegaRAID SAS 8208XLP, MegaRAID SAS 8300XLP, MegaRAID SAS 8308ELP, MegaRAID SAS 8344ELP, MegaRAID SAS 8408E, MegaRAID SAS 8480E, MegaRAID SAS 8708ELP, MegaRAID SAS 8888ELP, MegaRAID SAS 8880EM2, MegaRAID SAS 9260-8i - IBM ServeRAID M1015, ServeRAID M5014 These controllers support RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 5, RAID 6, RAID 10, RAID 50 and RAID 60 using either SAS or SATA II drives.
