Classic: sendmail[pid]: My unqualified host name (hostname) unknown
Hi all,
I'd like to disable sendmail permanently on my "new" 220R with freshly installed SunOS 5.10 because it prints annoying messages to the system console.
Also I'm interested in how to fix the actual problem with unqualified host name.

I tried svcadm disable sendmail, but when I reboot, the annoying messages are still printed to system console
Which is the "right" way to disable sendmail permanently AND/OR to fix this issue?

I try to configure snedmail as smtp for my solaris box. if the useres are local there's no problem everything's working fine, but is it outside, sendmail says it could find the host. why?! all other tools find diffrent host?

I have a problem - I created a chrooted jail for one user. When I'm logged in as root, everything work fine, but when I'm logged in as a chrooted user - I have many problems:
1. When I execute the command ping, I get weird results:

ever since we´ve added the server in DNS, sendmail stopped working, but everything seems to be configured properly although in the mail logs we see:

mailstats - Displays statistics about mail traffic
SYNOPSIS
mailstats [-o] [-C cffile [-f stfile]
FLAGS
Do not display the name of the mailer in the output. Use cffile as the name of the sendmail "cf" file instead of /var/adm/sendmail/send-
mail.cf. Use stfile as the input statistics file instead of /var/adm/sendmail/sendmail.st.
DESCRIPTION
The mailstats command reads the information in the /var/adm/sendmail/sendmail.st file (or in the file specified with the -f flag), formats
it, and writes it to standard output. Note also that you can change the location of the sendmail.st file by editing its pathname in the
sendmail.cf file.
EXAMPLES
The format of the information is shown in the following example, in which the first field (M) contains a number that indicates the position
of that mailer in the sendmail.cf file, starting at 0 (zero). For example, the first mailer in the sendmail.cf file corresponds to the
