newsize=$(wc -c < merged_file)

if [ "$newsize" -gt 1073741824 ] ; then
 echo error
fi
# 1073741824 is the byte count for 1 GB

Hi, We currently have an Oracle database running and it is creating lots of processes in the /proc directory that are 1000M in size. The size of the /proc directory is now reading 26T. intltool-prepare - update pot files and merge them with translation (po) files SYNOPSIS
intltool-prepare [ -H|--help ] [ -X|--verbose ] [ -V|--version ] KEYWORD DESCRIPTION
intltool-prepare searches for strings which have been marked for translation in the various source and header files specified in the file po/POTFILES, updates the pot files, and merges them with the translation (po) files. The key KEYWORD is an additional key besides Name, Comment, and description. OPTIONS
