I have used SAR -b to get some Unix cache / buffer metrics and the results are confusing me a bit. The pread/s & pwrit/s are showing 0. However the lread/s and lwrit/s are showing figures. Solaris 10 verse older versions

So if everything in Solaris 10 is dynamically linked then I have a question. If /sbin/sh in Solaris 9 and lower are statically linked and I lose my /usr libraries the system is still recoverable cause I can use root. install-solaris install-solaris invokes the Solaris Install program. Depending on graphical capability and available memory at the time of invocation, install-solaris invokes either a text-based installer or a graphical installer.
