2) that GUI application should be able to reside on windows ( if possible) and then call Unix shell script either directly or through a server residing on unix.

I hope this question goes here. Anyways, I have a unique situation where my friend's comp has Fedora installed and wants to add Win XP as a dual boot without formatting the drive. Is it possible to create a partition on the current hard drive and then install win xp? I couldn't find... (4 Replies)
I was wondering if it is possible to run a GUI window (say Firefox) without actually showing up the window on the desktop but still make it do its own regular stuff (like maybe do something via the command line). Sorry if its a dumb question.

byobu-enable, byobu-disable - wrapper script for enabling/disabling automatic startup of byobu after login into text console
SYNOPSIS
byobu-enable
byobu-disable
DESCRIPTION
byobu-enable will do two things:
1) run byobu-launcher-install(1) to configure byobu(1) to launch automatically on login
2) then launch byobu(1)
byobu-disable will simply run byobu-launcher-uninstall(1).
