i would run "ls" command through 1 directory like this :
#ls /dir1/dir2/file* > fic.txt
and having the result on 1 line separated by a blank.
Then with this result , i could run a script like this :
for i in fic.txt
do.....

I've modified the syslogd source to include a thread that will keep track of a timer(or a timer thread). My expected output for line in the file must be :

I have a bunch of random character lines like ABCEDFG. I want to find all lines with "A" and then change any "E" to "X" in the same line. ALL lines with "A" will have an "X" somewhere in it. sleep - Delay execution
SYNOPSIS
int sleep (int $seconds)
DESCRIPTION
Delays the program execution for the given number of $seconds.
PARAMETERS
o $seconds
- Halt time in seconds.
RETURN VALUES
Returns zero on success, or FALSE on error.
If the call was interrupted by a signal, sleep(3) returns a non-zero value. On Windows, this value will always be 192 (the value of the
WAIT_IO_COMPLETION constant within the Windows API). On other platforms, the return value will be the number of seconds left to sleep.

If the specified number of $seconds is negative, this function will generate a E_WARNING.
