The command is not working; neither it is giving any messages (file name extensions are still the same), but I am trying my best to modify it and make it work. I replaced the DIR with the working directory (just to clear any doubts!)
If I could make it work, I'll post my command here.

I have a large number of subdirectories (>200), and in each of these directories there is a file with a name like "opp1234.dat".

crm_verify [modifiers] data_source
DESCRIPTION
crm_verify - Check a (complete) confiuration for syntax and common conceptual errors.
Checks the well-formedness of an XML configuration, its conformance to the configured DTD/schema and for the presence of common misconfigu-
rations.
It reports two classes of problems, errors and warnings. Errors must be fixed before the cluster will work properly. However, it is left up
to the administrator to decide if the warnings should also be fixed.
