Operating Systems SCO Install Hang OpenServer 6 - SATA CDROM Post 302532948 by jgt on Wednesday 22nd of June 2011 12:53:59 PM

Will the disk drives connect directly to the cable from the controller, or is there an intermediate circuit board that might prevent that?
If you can connect two of the drives directly to the LSI card, then make those two, a RAID1 configuration, and system drive 0.
Move the card and the two drives to a desktop system that has a standard IDE configuration, and a suitable PCI express slot (probably the slot for the video card).
Do the install, then add MP4 and OSS714, then move the controller and disks back to the main system. The system will take a long time to boot as it finds the new hardware so be patient (up to 10 minutes).
Set up the additional 5 disks as RAID(?) and system drive 1.
Add back the addtional 12gb of memory, (I presume you have a license for more than 4gb?)
