I understand that the $x will return the x-column. Yet, whether a string is a new column or not is defined whether there is a space. This is a problem for:
a column containing the following:
File with name
File_with_name
a find . -ls returns
Code:
3409872 0 drwxr-xr-x 4 user staff 136 1 apr 22:10 .
3409904 8 -rw-r--r-- 1 user staff 6 1 apr 15:39 ./File with name.txt
3409897 8 -rw-r--r-- 1 user staff 6 1 apr 15:39 ./File_with_name.txt
using the find . -ls | awk '{print $1,$2,$11}'
returns:
3409872 0 .
3409904 8 ./File with name.txt File with name
3409897 8 ./File_with_name.txt File_with_name
Where: 3409904 8 ./File with name.txt File with name
is a line containing inode (cf. 3409904) 8 (file) ./File with name.txt (path); File with name (actual name)
Hello,
I would like to list the files from all directories that has been modified more than 1 month ago, and whose name is like '*risk*log'.
I think a script like this should work :
ls -R | find -name '*risk*.log' -mtime 30 -type f
But it tells me "no file found" though I can see some.
