Operating Systems Solaris DNS needs to be refreshed periodically to work Post 302505617 by Lespaul20 on Thursday 17th of March 2011 12:26:49 PM

Is it possible that if it is an access problem that it's related to only some of the root servers? There are 12 IP4 root servers in our named.root file.

Also, the lookups fail intermittently which is why I pose the question above.

I have Windows DNS server and it only has one root hint server. It's the same as the first server in the named.root file on Solaris. The lookups are normal for the Windows server.

I'll start some ping tests.

Thanks.
