Cshell if statement not working

Hi .I am trying to check the first arguments =-s and the third =-d,but it doesnt work ,any idea why
It gives me if: Missing file name

CShell if statement

If I want to compare two string variables in csh how do I correctly implement it. For example I'm checking if on cmdln the $1 == -r do something. if($1 == -r) then code.... However when I run it I just get an error message "if: Missing file name". Any suggestions? (1 Reply)

The "Locale::Codes::LangExt" module provides access to standard codes used for identifying language extensions, such as those as defined in the IANA language registry. Most of the routines take an optional additional argument which specifies the code set to use. If not specified, the default IANA language registry codes will be used. SUPPORTED CODE SETS
There are several different code sets you can use for identifying language extensions. A code set may be specified using either a name, or a constant that is automatically exported by this module.
