New installation problem
I am trying to do a new install of solaris 10 on ultra sparc 60 with dual hard drives of 18g each, and 450mhz. At first, I was getting an error message which is in my original post. I think that problem is now resolved, but now I have a new problem. The installation hangs up at select a language, it does not allow me to make a choice. None of the digits given work - from 0-9.
Below is the original problem and solution:
I was trying to install from a dvd, while my box came with a cdrom drive. 1st it was difficult to get the installation cds, but as soon as I used the installation cd the installation started.

The first question is how do I accept the string, i.e interactively? and the second question how would the string be refrenced ?
Thanks in advance,

Hi, for an exercise I need to write a script that will ask the user about each package in a (local) repository and install it or not according to the user's input.
I am fairly new to scripting, so I did not get very far. Here is what I came up with. I really appreciate your help.
