Hi, I'm converting a C program that I made using the Visual Studio. I now use GCC (over Linux) and can't find some equivalences. I changed my __int64 definitions to unsigned long long, but can't find an equivalent to the microsoft i64toa() function, which let you convert a char* to a 64 bit... (1 Reply)

Hi,
from the manual
listen(2): listen for connections on socket - Linux man page
It has a parameter called backlog and it limits the maximum length of queue of pending list.
If I set backlog to 128, is it means no more than 128 packets can be handled by server?

My question is simple: When should I use a long, int, char, unsigned/signed variables??

As this function returns the address of the string corressponding to the errno value provided to it. Can someone please let me know where, in the memory, it could be (on freeBSD).

TIFFWarning(3TIFF)TIFFWarning(3TIFF)NAME
TIFFWarning, TIFFSetWarningHandler - library warning interface
SYNOPSIS
#include <tiffio.h>
void TIFFWarning(const char *module, const char *fmt, ...)
#include <stdargh.h>
typedef void (*TIFFWarningHandler)(const char *module, const char *fmt, va_list ap);
TIFFWarningHandler TIFFSetWarningHandler(TIFFWarningHandler handler);
DESCRIPTION
TIFFWarning invokes the library-wide warning handler function to (normally) write a warning message to the stderr. The fmt parameter is a
printf(3S) format string, and any number arguments can be supplied. The module parameter is interpreted as a string that, if non-zero,
should be printed before the message; it typically is used to identify the software module in which a warning is detected.
Applications that desire to capture control in the event of a warning should use TIFFSetWarningHandler to override the default warning han-
dler. A NULL(0) warning handler function may be installed to suppress error messages.
RETURN VALUES
TIFFSetWarningHandler returns a reference to the previous error handling function.
