I´ve created it myself. I don´t know now if the version is the same because I created it in a different place. I don´t remember if I´ve created it on Solaris or on Ubuntu, but I´m trying to untar it on Ubuntu. Is this a problem? Thanks!

Tar problem

I've done a tar -cvf data.tar * in our live data directory on a Solaris machine. I copy the tar file to the test area and try tar -xvf data.tar . and it uses the full path in the tar file and overwrites the live ones again.
