Teaching myself Unix - Need websites and other pointers
Hi, I am new to Unix. I've started with a book "Unix for Dummies".
Please help, any websites with extensive amount of practice exercises are needed. I need to practice! Also I would appreciate any books that are good for beginners. Thanks to all!

We're porting lot of C code from Windows to Unix.
In Windows we're using relative pointers (with the _based keyword) to
access some structures placed on shared memory. We would need
something like the Microsoft's _based keyword for unix.

I understand that a Here Document will redirect all of the lines between the beginning marker for the here document and the ending marker into the command specified just as if the text were coming from standard input.

macutil - A package that deals with MacIntosh files on a Unix system
DESCRIPTION
macutil is a package that contains a number of utilities that deal with MacIntosh files on a Unix system. It contains the following pro-
grams:
binhex Convert files to BinHex 4.0 compatible hexified form.
frommac
Receives files from the MacIntosh on the Unix system.
hexbin Convert hexified files to their MacIntosh format.
macsave
Save a series of files from a MacBinary stream as individual files.
macstream
Combine a series of files to a MacBinary stream.
macunpack
Unpack a MacIntosh archive into its constituents.
tomac Transmits files from the Unix system to a MacIntosh.
