I'm inclined to agree with you!

The gadget has other failings too, not least the lack of Flash support (although, reading about it, I'm "sympathetic" to Jobs' arguments on the subject), and a rubbish virtual (and docking) keyboard.

With Android, and with other tablets hitting, or about to hit, the market, Apple should be careful. It's not inconceivable that they could go the way of Sega and Nintendo (albeit in a different market) when the next new thing comes along.

I did purchase the iPad (as I do most electronic gadgets) on impulse (planned impulse!). Were it not for OmniFocus (a fantastic tool - if somewhat overpriced), it would doubtless be gathering dust by now!
