I have followed instructions to get the jdk for sparc, 1.3 loaded on this sparc workstation machine. I used a tar file and everything seemed to go fine. The usr/j2se directory was created with all the subdirectories and java files. However, attempting to run Java commands fails with a file not... (18 Replies)
We're just about to migrate a large application from an Enterprise 6900 to a pair of T5220s utilising LDOMs. Does anyone have any experience of LDOMs on this kit and can provide any recommendations or pitfalls to avoid?
I've heard that use of LDOMs can have an impact on I/O speeds as it's all... (9 Replies)
I've got Sun Fire T2000 with two LDoms - primary and ldom1, both being Solaris 10 u8. Both can be accessed over the network (ssh, ping), both can access the network, but they can't ping or ssh to each other.
I only use e1000g0 interface on T2000, the primary ldom has an address on it, ldm has a... (1 Reply)
I have some T3's we just purchased and we are looking to carve these up into LDOMS's.
Just wondering if anyone can give me a quick run down or pro / cons on SAN vs local internal for the LDOM itself. These will external SAN storage for their applications. (0 Replies)
I have a T4-1 with Solaris 11.1, LDom ver 3.0.0.1 and I'm encountering two problems with zones.
I'd greatly appreciate help on these, especially the first one.
I have created multiple guest LDoms, all Solaris 11.1, and they all work fine.
The first problem is that I can not boot any... (9 Replies)

My understanding is that Oracle DB licensing is based on number of cores etc. If you use virtual machines (e.g.ldoms) you need to partition it properly otherwise, in theory you have to pay based on the host machine.
Can anyone confirm I'm right here? And explain it in bit more detail (i.e.... (8 Replies)
System: SPARC S7-2 Server; 2x8-core CPUs; 128Gb RAM; 2x600Gb HDD.
I have been experimenting on the above system, using ldmp2v to create "clones" of my physical systems as LDoms on the server when there was an unscheduled power outage. After the system came back up I had lost my LDoms, although... (7 Replies)

ed2k - aMule eD2k link parser
SYNOPSIS
ed2k [-c <path>] [-t <num>] [-e] [-l] <eD2k-link>
ed2k [-h]
ed2k [-v]
DESCRIPTION
Sends the given <eD2k-link> to aMule, i.e. writes it to the file ~/.aMule/ED2KLinks, which will be checked by aMule every second for links.
[ -c <path>, --config-dir=<path> ]
Read config from <path> instead of home
[ -t, --category=<num> ]
Set category for passed eD2k links to <num>
[ -e, --emulecollection ]
Loads all link found in the emulecollection given as <ed2k-link>
[ -l, --list ]
Lists all link found in the emulecollection given as <ed2k-link>
[ -h, --help ]
Prints a short usage description.
[ -v, --version ]
Displays the current version number.
[ eD2k-link ]
Adds an eD2k-link to the core.
The eD2k link to be added can be:
o a file link (ed2k://|file|...), it will be added to the download queue;
o a server link (ed2k://|server|...), it will be added to the server list;
o a serverlist link, in which case all servers in the list will be added to the server list;
o a magnet link;
o an emulecollection file.
The order in which you give the parameters is important. You can give more than one link, and every link can have it's own params. For
example ed2k <link1> -t2 <link2> will download <link1> in standard category and <link2> in category 2.
