The problem is to write logs in a shared file from several processes.
The cooperate call of fprintf() leads to messing the content even in one call
example:
fprintf(f,"a1 \n a2");
fprintf(f,"a3 \n a4");
out:
a1

I have Cygwin/X installed on Windows 7. In an xterm, I turned on logging via Main Options > Log to File.

tee - pipe fitting to copy standard output to file SYNOPSIS

The command transcribes the standard input to the standard output and makes copies in the files. Options This option ignores interrupts. This option appends the output to the files rather than overwriting the files. EXTERNAL INFLUENCES
Environment Variables determines the language in which messages are displayed.
