Hi gurus
Good morning
I want to write a script which will compre the filesystem names of previous day and today and mail me .
The script will do the following
- <LI class=MsoNormal style="mso-list: l1 level1 lfo3">Script will run daily at 9 am <LI class=MsoNormal style="mso-list: l1 level1 lfo3">It will get snapshot off all filesystems including nfs mounts, automounts and clearcase mounts. <LI class=MsoNormal style="mso-list: l1 level1 lfo3">Then it will compare new snapshot with the snapshot created in the previous run thats yesterday <LI class=MsoNormal style="mso-list: l1 level1 lfo3">If filesystem exists in previous day snapshot and in new snapshot save file system in snapshot and continue. <LI class=MsoNormal style="mso-list: l1 level1 lfo3">If filesystem exists in new snapshot and does not exist in the previous day snapshot send an e-mail .
- If filesystem exists in the previous day snapshot and does not exist in todays snapshot send e-mail with high priority indicating the potential problems.
7. At the end script will save current snapshot for the next day run.
