When I type date..I get the date, time ..etc displayed
...but can someone help me to display yesterdays date... some script to display back dates.

I would like to see what a command is doing. For example, say I move 10 files using mv * somedir. Can I use some other command to see a verification of each files movement. Like:
file1 moved to somedir
file2 moved to somedir
...

Hi guys,
I have changed some path in the vi .profile and then i shutdown the system and when i reboot it i was unable to use
vi.
It is showing vi not found.Likewise for few other commands also.
How to solve this problem and make vi work again.

Hi,
I'm trying to display all process on an AIX server with the string SLRServer in them. Normally "ps -ef|grep SLRServer" would be sufficient, however in this instance the process name is enormous and the part which contains this string has been truncated, as you can see in the example below

Hi,
Does anyone know what i need to do to get the 'é' character to display on a Solaris 9 server. When i try to cut and paste it onto some of my machines via telnet it displays an 'i' but other machines with the same OS version are ok. It also doesn't like Japanese Characters.

Locale::Codes::LangVar - standard codes for language variation identification

$lvar = code2langvar('acm'); # $lvar gets 'Mesopotamian Arabic'
$code = langvar2code('Mesopotamian Arabic'); # $code gets 'acm'
@codes = all_langvar_codes();
@names = all_langvar_names();
DESCRIPTION
The "Locale::Codes::LangVar" module provides access to standard codes used for identifying language variations, such as those as defined in
the IANA language registry.
Most of the routines take an optional additional argument which specifies the code set to use. If not specified, the default IANA language
registry codes will be used.
SUPPORTED CODE SETS
There are several different code sets you can use for identifying language variations. A code set may be specified using either a name, or
a constant that is automatically exported by this module.
For example, the two are equivalent:
$lvar = code2langvar('arevela','alpha');
$lvar = code2langvar('arevela',LOCALE_LANGVAR_ALPHA);
The codesets currently supported are:
alpha
This is the set of alphanumeric codes from the IANA language registry, such as 'arevela' for Eastern Armenian.
This code set is identified with the symbol "LOCALE_LANGVAR_ALPHA".
This is the default code set.
