Window NFS VS Solaris NFS
Hi all,
currently i wish to build a NFS server (windows based), is it the I/O speed will slower than the NFS server in Solaris?
any impact, i using the NFS in windows?

Hello,
I've been trying unsuccesfully to mount from a FreeBSD box to a nfs share on a Solaris 8 box. I've run the share command several different ways and unable to get Read-Write access. I can mount but not create any files. Any solutions would be great!

Is there a free tool that will allow me to mount an NFS network drive from a Window XP computer onto a Solaris 10 x86 system? :confused:Hi all
When i see in the /var/adm/messages, i saw the following error
unix: NFS write error on host : Stale NFS file handle.
unix: (file handle: 45ca415 3e7 a0000 2c7f6 3ebfc25f a0000 2 3e49)
It is using sunOS 5.7. Is anybody know what is this error?

in my server all nfs dependices are online but nfs client is offline
root@BIWAPP1 # svcs -a|grep nfs

Hello,
I have a centos as nfs server, its name is centos_A.
After I finish the setup of the nfs server, the other linux can access this nfs server immediately via /net/centos_A/*
But,
My solaris 9 can not access /net/centos_A/* immediately. I have to leave /net/centos_A, and wait for about... (1 Reply)

NAME
nfsstat -- display NFS statistics
SYNOPSIS
nfsstat [-cs] [-M core] [-N system] [-w wait]
DESCRIPTION
nfsstat displays statistics kept about NFS client and server activity.
The options are as follows:
-c Only display values for NFS client side.
-s Only display values for NFS server side.
-M Extract values associated with the name list from the specified core instead of the default /dev/kmem.
-N Extract the name list from the specified system instead of the default /netbsd.
-w Display a shorter summary of NFS activity for both the client and server at wait second intervals.

/dev/kmem default memory file
