Explain your setup. how did you make the backup via SCSI? if the server does'nt have a SCSI port?

What I assume is that you used a tape drive connected to an other system.
Or you can connect the tape drive to an other system and via that system do a ufsrestore.

cannot plumb nxge on T5240

its a fresh installation. during the OS setup, it did not prompt for IP, netmask and gateway. using Solaris 10 08/07 update 4. T5240 netmgmt port not blinking

I was trying to configure the netmgmt from the serial and set commitpending to true. However, the netmgmt port is not up and blinking. Cannot configure RAID on T5240
