The most obvious is arrays, ksh has them and vanilla bourne sh does not. But there are a lot of features like that, listing comprehensively would be difficult. And on many systems, /bin/sh is not even a vanilla bourne shell, but something more primitive. What's your system?

SYNOPSIS

       suspend

DESCRIPTION

   sh
       Stops the execution of the current shell (but not if it is the login shell).

   csh
       Stop the shell in its tracks, much as if it had been sent a stop signal with ^Z. This is most often used to stop shells started by su.
