How configure SAN to server?

Zoning was done by our "SAN administrator".
Now i just need to see the SAN drive to be mounted.
I hav downloaded & installed the drivers JNIC415.tar.gz & EZF_221.tar. But still cant seems to detect the SAN storage. Don't know if there is still any configuration to be done.
Hi kingston, can you explain to me more about devfsadm -Cv, from man, it seems like cleaning dangling links & printing the changes to /dev and /device?

I am in the process of configuring the SAN for Solaris to host 6 oracle 9i databases. We have 30 -146 GB disks stiped with RAID 10 for SAN. Of which 11 are dedicated for databsaes related things. Then we have 2 v880 Sun Servers with 16 -73 GB disks and 24 GB memory.

I want to be able to use an account on a solaris 10 server, eg root@myhost
to act as a relay to forward mail to my domain account me@mycompany.com
The reason for this is to configure root@myhost as a mail relay on Brocade SAN switches - so that when a port goes bad i get an email alert.... (0 Replies)

I have configured our SAN Storage to be connected to our new SUN T5220.
On the SAn it looks all fine
on the server I do not see any connection:

We have a Sun M5000 connecting to a Brocade SAN switch. I don't know the IP of the Brocade switch and don't want to use its serial port to get the info. dev - Device name file system DESCRIPTION
The dev filesystem manages the name spaces of devices under the Solaris operating environment. The global zone's instance of the dev filesystem is mounted during boot on /dev. A subdirectory under /dev may have unique operational semantics. Most of the common device names under /dev are created automatically by devfsadm(1M). Others, such as /dev/pts, are dynamic and reflect the operational state of the system. You can manually generate device names for newly attached hardware by invoking devfsadm(1M) or implicitly, by indirectly causing a lookup or readdir operation in the filesystem to occur. For example, you can discover a disk that was attached when the system was powered down (and generate a name for that device) by invoking format(1M)). FILES
