the password is always encrypted (from plain text) anyway in the /etc/passwd file.

you can change the encryption algorithm though by modifying /etc/security/policy.conf

SSH Password-less login fails on password expiry.

Hi Gurus I have a few Sol 5.9 servers and i have enabled password less authentication between them for my user ID. Often i have found that when my password has expired,the login fails. The crypt_bsdbf module is a one-way password hashing module for use with crypt(3C) that uses the Blowfish cryptographic algorithm. The algorithm identifier for crypt.conf(4) and policy.conf(4) is 2a. The maximum password length for crypt_bsdbf is 255 characters. ATTRIBUTES
