Hello,
I want to know is it possible to pass a block of sentence using bash.
For example,
I have a script called Test.sh that takes in $1 and $2.
and I'm calling Test.sh in a.sh
so
in a.sh
Test.sh '' 'This is a sentence'

I need to change all Newline caracters (\12) to Fieldseparator(\34).

Replace all delete (\177) with Newline (\12)
tr -A '\177' '\12' <file2> file3
Put the name of the file first in all rows.

I have two boxes which have similar version of linux running but one is greater in speed compared to other. Lets say A is faster than B.

I need some Help to write a unix script that asks for a sentence to be typed out then with the sentence. Counts the number of spaces within the sentence and then echo's out "The Number Of Spaces In The Sentence is 4" as a example

The title pretty much defines the problem. I have text files that are all in caps. I would like to convert them to lowercase, but have the first letter of the first word in each sentence in uppercase.

Iam using ksh and trying to execute the following syntax to replace one word of the sentence with a new word. But somehow sed is not able to replace the old value with new value. Please let me know where Iam going wrong.

suppose i have a perl script that is normally run this way:
./checkdisk.pl -H hostname -w 40 -c 80
but, for whatever reason, i cannot run the script directly as it should. But i can cat it through pipe. How can i pass the arguments "-H hostname -w 40 -c 80"?

DESCRIPTION
Ns_AbsoluteUrl(pds, url, baseurl)
Construct an URL based on baseurl but with as many parts of the incomplete url as possible. Return NS_OK or NS_ERROR.
Ns_ParseUrl(url, pprotocol, phost, pport, ppath, ptail)
Parse a URL into its component parts. Pointers to the protocol, host, port, path, and "tail" (last path element) will be set by ref-
erence in the passed-in pointers. The passed-in url will be modified.
Ns_RelativeUrl(url, location)
If the url passed in is for this server, then the initial part of the URL is stripped off. e.g., on a server whose location is
http://www.foo.com, Ns_RelativeUrl of "http://www.foo.com/hello" will return "/hello". Returns a pointer to the beginning of the
relative url in the passed-in url, or NULL if error. Will set errno on error.
Ns_SkipUrl(request, n)
Return a pointer n elements into the request's url.
