Hi,
How to format a number in ksh. For example
x=RANDOM $$
I want x to be of 20 digits long, so if x = 12345 I want it to be left paded with 15 zeros.

I have a file which starts each line with 6 digits followed bya colon:

And I want to reformat them into:

I try to read in a file and write out a new file with increased number at the end of each line. And I can set the initial value and increased constant from inputs.
input file:
text1
text2
text3
...
text100
if I set initial value is 10, and increased constant is 0.4
output file:

I have a number coming into a php echo statement that looks like 0293 and i want to output it looking like 29.3 and for the life of me i cannot figure out how to do it with available php functions like number_format, sprintf, or printf.

URI::URL - Uniform Resource Locators

DESCRIPTION
This module is provided for backwards compatibility with modules that depend on the interface provided by the "URI::URL" class that used to
be distributed with the libwww-perl library.
The following differences exist compared to the "URI" class interface:
o The URI::URL module exports the url() function as an alternate constructor interface.
o The constructor takes an optional $base argument. The "URI::URL" class is a subclass of "URI::WithBase".
o The URI::URL->newlocal class method is the same as URI::file->new_abs.
o URI::URL::strict(1)
o $url->print_on method
o $url->crack method
o $url->full_path: same as ($uri->abs_path || "/")
o $url->netloc: same as $uri->authority
o $url->epath, $url->equery: same as $uri->path, $uri->query
o $url->path and $url->query pass unescaped strings.
o $url->path_components: same as $uri->path_segments (if you don't consider path segment parameters)
