Using sudo command you can achieve this.
Generally this command is used to run a given command with a given user's privilege.
Using the -u option you need to specify the root user name or his user id.
Now it will invoke all the root privilege.

Error received when I tried to restore a blank disk with an 'auto recovery' DDS tape via HP-UX recovery system 2.0 onto a 1Gb SCSI. I assumed it would do the setup, wrong. Hi all,
I am trying to eject the cdrom from a livecd after certain stage...
Now assuming that it is possible to eject,please consider my issue!!!
The OS boots into a regular user by default...so i am unable to use the eject command to push out the drive...

polkit-is-privileged - check PolicyKit privileges
SYNOPSIS
polkit-is-privileged [-hvV] -u user -p privilege [-r resource]
DESCRIPTION
The polkit-is-privileged command queries system policy to determine whether a user is allowed for a given privilege and resource. The
resource name can be omitted. On the Solaris operating system, RBAC authorizations names should be used as privilege names.
Currently, the only consumer of PolicyKit is hald(1M).
OPTIONS
The following options are supported:
-h, --help
Display list of options and exit.
-p privilege, --privilege privilege
Name of privilege associated with user. Command tests for this privilege.
-r resource, --resource resource
Name of resource associated with user and privilege. Command tests for this resource.
-u user, --user user
User name or user id that is tested for.
-v, --verbose
Verbose mode.
-V, --version
Displays version number.
