I want to write a script that deletes files inside the dir. However, the script
should also allow the user to confirm by pressing (d) key before deleting files..
#!/bin/bash
for file in $1/*
do
size='ls -l $file | cut -f 5 -d " "'
name='ls -l $file | cut -f 9 -d " "'

I have a complex multi-stage (media conversion and formatting) build process that leaves orphan target files needing deleting automatically (i.e. by reference only to the build rules themselves, not any parallel config) upon each regular build. Since MAKE cannot do this, what can? Thanks. (4 Replies)
I am using Tbird as it came with Slackware 13.37 and everytime I send something I get a message 1 or 2 drafts deleted. Should it be doing that? If not has this been reported ? How can I find out if it was reported? I have no drafts to delete. (2 Replies)

deleg_proc(3tcl) Interpreter utilities deleg_proc(3tcl)__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________NAME
deleg_proc - Creation of comm delegates (procedures)
SYNOPSIS
package require Tcl 8.3
package require interp::delegate::proc ?0.2?
::interp::delegate::proc ?-async? name arguments comm id
_________________________________________________________________DESCRIPTION
This package provides a single command for the convenient creation of procedures which delegate the actual work to a remote location via a
"channel" created by the package comm.
API
::interp::delegate::proc ?-async? name arguments comm id
This commands creates a procedure which is named by name and returns its fully-qualified name. All invokations of this procedure
will delegate the actual work to the remote location identified by the comm channel comm and the endpoint id.
The name of the remote procedure invoked by the delegator is [namespace tail name]. I.e., namespace information is stripped from the
call.
Normally the generated procedure marshalls the arguments, and returns the result from the remote procedure as its own result. If
however the option -async was specified then the generated procedure will not wait for a result and return immediately.
