I'm confused, there were somme errors corrected here: I don't really understand your needs but here is something which works :
Code:
#!/bin/bash
f=2
until ((num)) # Until num is a numeric value > 0
do
    tput cup 18 33; read -p "Enter number " num
done
for ((var=1; var <= $num; var++))
do
    ((f*=$var))
    echo "$var : $f"
done
