Now I am programming to communicate with some network printer through TCP Socket program.By sending command "\033E 1\r" to printer,causes, check the port for error normally.

Here command goes to printer proper manner.But when i try to receive the recv gets blocking can not able to read anything its hanging there.
Then i used Non Blocking Socket with select() method in this case i am getting "Resource temporarily unavailable".
Well, I am not even sure if its failing, cause at the other end I have a select call and it wakes up and reads the data I sent fine.
Ok here is the issue, I have a UDP socket(non blocking) through which I push some data to another port. At the other end I have select loop, waiting for this data.... (6 Replies)

I have an Unix box running Solaris and every day for 1 hour or 2 the box is stuck and I can only get this error message when trying to type a command :

sockatmark(): _POSIX_C_SOURCE >= 200112L
DESCRIPTION
sockatmark() returns a value indicating whether or not the socket referred to by the file descriptor sockfd is at the out-of-band mark. If
the socket is at the mark, then 1 is returned; if the socket is not at the mark, 0 is returned. This function does not remove the out-of-
band mark.
RETURN VALUE
A successful call to sockatmark() returns 1 if the socket is at the out-of-band mark, or 0 if it is not. On error, -1 is returned and
errno is set to indicate the error.
ERRORS
EBADF sockfd is not a valid file descriptor.
EINVAL sockfd is not a file descriptor to which sockatmark() can be applied.
VERSIONS
sockatmark() was added to glibc in version 2.2.4.

Out-of-band data is supported only on some stream socket protocols.
