I have a huge file and every paragraph has a date. But I want to retrieve the paras for the last two days only. So I can grep and findout the linenum for the first line since yesterday. I'm using the following code to extract the lines(and redirect them to a txt file) after the pattern match. But the output is inclusive of the line with pattern match.
Which option is to be used to exclude the line containing the pattern?

Hi - I have req to join broken lines and remove empty lines but should NOT be in one line. It has to be as is line by line. The challenge here is there is no end of line/start of line char.
