Very good advice vbe.
Even with Online JFS installed the operation is only worth considering on a totally quiescent Logical Volume and with a known good backup.
Personally I have never been able to determine the high water mark with 100% certainty and find it easier to create a replacement filesystem.

Hi,
How can I undo installation of a package on AIX 4.3 properly?
It's an install script. On linux, I usually just kill the process and delete from disk with this command "find .... exec rm -r {}\;". And it usually works. Can I do the same with AIX 4.3?

I installed Solaris 11 Express on my machine and connected to it remotely using putty. I then run the svcadm disable /network/physical:nwam command to stop the NWAM service.
Now I cannot connect to the Solaris machine remotely anymore, but I have physical access to it as well.

cachefswssize logfile

The cachefswssize command displays the workspace size determined from logfile. This includes the amount of cache space needed for each
filesystem that was mounted under the cache, as well as a total.

There were problems encountered when the kernel was writing the logfile. The most common problem is running out of disk space.
invalid log file
The logfile is not a valid logfile or was created with a newer version of Solaris than the one where cachefswssize is running.
