the problem occurs only if someone hijacks the service IP address...
is there a way i can disable in HACMP config that if there is a duplicate ip do not shutdown the system ? Duplicate IP After reboot
---------- Post updated at 12:18 PM ---------- Previous update was at 10:49 AM ---------- on another machine, there is another strange thing going on:
HACMP resources were not moved since the system went into non-responsive state and only when one system was manually switched off resources were moved to another server. Manually switched off from the panel.

I am new to HACMP V5.4 in AIX5.3.Please let me know how to get the virtual IP address configured for a HACMP cluster.
Is this the correct way to identify it?
If i give ifconfig -a the first ip address displayed is the real address of the host.So the other one can be VIP.
Thanks in Advance (3 Replies)
hi,
when I do a failover, hacmp always starts db2 but recently it fails to start db2..noticed the issue is db2nodes.cfg is not modified by hacmp and is still showing primary node..manually changed the node name to secondary after which db2 started immediately..unable to figure out why hacmp is... I am planning for building a new database server using AIX 6.1 and Oracle 11.2 using ASM.
As i have learned starting with Oracle 11.2 ASM can only be used in conjunction with Clusterware, which is Oracles HA-software. As is the companies policy we do intend to use PowerHA as HA-solution instead... (1 Reply)

Test::MooseX::Daemonize - Tool to help test MooseX::Daemonize applications
VERSION
This document describes MooseX::Daemonize version 0.0.1
SYNOPSIS
use File::Spec::Functions;
use File::Temp qw(tempdir);
my $dir = tempdir( CLEANUP => 1 );
## Try to make sure we are in the test directory
my $file = catfile( $dir, "im_alive" );
my $daemon = FileMaker->new( pidbase => $dir, filename => $file );
daemonize_ok( $daemon, 'child forked okay' );
ok( -e $file, "$file exists" );
DESCRIPTION
This module provides some basic Test::Builder compatible test methods to use when writing tests for you MooseX::Daemonize based modules.
EXPORTED FUNCTIONS
daemonize_ok ( $daemon, ?$msg )
This will attempt to daemonize your $daemon returning ok on success and not ok on failure.
check_test_output ( $daemon )
This is expected to be used with a $daemon which does the Test::MooseX::Daemonize::Testable role (included in this package see the
source for more info). It will collect the test output from your daemon and apply it in the parent process by mucking around with
Test::Builder stuff, again, read the source for more info. If we get time we will document this more thoroughly.
