How would I setup my @HOME connection with Solaris 8, does anybody know the set-by-step procedure to do this? Here's the information I have,
My Domain Name, @HOME
DNS Servers 24.1.208.XX
My Computer Name, cxXXXXXXX-b
My Default Gateway 24.6.164.X
And my IP Address. 24.X.XXX.XXX

Ok so I'm a new to Solaris (& networking) too, I have an ultra 5 and a network card weith a cross over cable going into my network card on my xp machine that has fatband going into it.

On my solaris server, I suddenly got a message saying Message from metatest on server. Check xxx mailbox for details. How do I chcek the message. I don't find xxx mailbox. Please help me ASAP. This is very urgent.

Hi all,
I tried to install Solaris 10 and then VMware ESX server v3.02 on the same PC (or hard drive). But after successfully installing Solaris 10, when I installed Vmware ESX Server on the same drive(but on different partition, boot menu is not coming.
It is just booting Vmware only.

I have partitioned and installed Windows Vista, OpenSUSE and Solaris 11 Express on a LapTop hardDrive. However I am not able to boot OpenSUSE 11.3 although I have it in menu.lst which I put in a Solaris partition directory /rpool/boot/grub. Could someone tell me how to go about it. See what I did... 1) Vista host i configure
VMnet 1: 10.1.1.10
Mask : 255.255.255.0
Subnet : 10.1.1.2
DNS : 10.1.1.100
2) Solaris on VM
Network device is on Custom(VMNET1)
IP : 10.1.1.4
Mask : 255.255.255.0

DESCRIPTION
Ns_AbsoluteUrl(pds, url, baseurl)
Construct an URL based on baseurl but with as many parts of the incomplete url as possible. Return NS_OK or NS_ERROR.
Ns_ParseUrl(url, pprotocol, phost, pport, ppath, ptail)
Parse a URL into its component parts. Pointers to the protocol, host, port, path, and "tail" (last path element) will be set by ref-
erence in the passed-in pointers. The passed-in url will be modified.
Ns_RelativeUrl(url, location)
If the url passed in is for this server, then the initial part of the URL is stripped off. e.g., on a server whose location is
http://www.foo.com, Ns_RelativeUrl of "http://www.foo.com/hello" will return "/hello". Returns a pointer to the beginning of the
relative url in the passed-in url, or NULL if error. Will set errno on error.
Ns_SkipUrl(request, n)
Return a pointer n elements into the request's url.
