<HEADER><El1>asdf</El1> <El2>3</El2> <El3>asad</El3> <El4>asasdf</El4> <El5>asdf</El5> <El6>asdf</El6> <El7>asdf</El7> <El8>A</El8> <El9>0</El9> <El10>75291028141917</El10> <El11>asdf</El11> <El12>sdf</El12> <El13>er</El13> <El14><El15>asdf </El15></El14> <El16><El17>asdf</El17> <El18>My type to print</El18> <El19>Another value with spaces</El19> </El16> </HEADER>
The elements are seperated with a space. I would like to print each element in a seperate row , but if i do the following , the values of elements that have spaces are printed in seperate lines. For example
echo above_xml | awk '{ for (i=1;i<=NF;i++) print $i }'
Code:
<HEADER><El1>asdf</El1>
<El2>3</El2>
<El3>asad</El3>
<El4>asasdf</El4>
<El5>asdf</El5>
<El6>asdf</El6>
<El7>asdf</El7>
<El8>A</El8>
<El9>0</El9>
<El10>75291028141917</El10>
<El11>asdf</El11>
<El12>sdf</El12>
<El13>er</El13>
<El14><El15>asdf</El15></El14>
<El16><El17>asdf</El17>
<El18>My
type
to
print</El18>
<El19>Another
value
with
spaces</El19>
</El16>
</HEADER>
The desirable output would be the same but in el18 and el19
Code:
<El18>My type to print</El18>
<El19>Another value with spaces</El19>

ctype_print
CTYPE_PRINT(3) 1 CTYPE_PRINT(3)ctype_print - Check for printable character(s)SYNOPSIS
bool ctype_print (string $text)
DESCRIPTION
Checks if all of the characters in the provided string, $text, are printable.
PARAMETERS
o $text
- The tested string.
RETURN VALUES
Returns TRUE if every character in $text will actually create output (including blanks). Returns FALSE if $text contains control charac-
ters or characters that do not have any output or control function at all.
EXAMPLES
Example #1
A ctype_print(3) example
<?php
$strings = array('string1' => "asdf
", 'string2' => 'arf12', 'string3' => 'LKA#@%.54');
foreach ($strings as $name => $testcase) {
if (ctype_print($testcase)) {
echo "The string '$name' consists of all printable characters.
";
} else {
echo "The string '$name' does not consist of all printable characters.
";
}
}
?>
The above example will output:
The string 'string1' does not consist of all printable characters.
The string 'string2' consists of all printable characters.
The string 'string3' consists of all printable characters.
NOTES
Note
If an integer between -128 and 255 inclusive is provided, it is interpreted as the ASCII value of a single character (negative val-
ues have 256 added in order to allow characters in the Extended ASCII range). Any other integer is interpreted as a string contain-
ing the decimal digits of the integer.
