Increment of a variable
Hi All,
I have a variable n that stores a number.
Eg. echo $n comes out to be 120.
I need to print 121 using echo command on n.
Please advice.

I want to write a perl script, which will increment number stored in file. I want to do this without any file handles. I think we have to use some UNIX commands. I am not sure how to do this with file handles.

I have a perl script which prints epoch value of date in milliseconds as the output.
My reuirement is that once the output is printed,the day variable shld increment by 1 and when i execute the script for the second time the output shld be for the new day value.

I have been trying to increment the value of variable to 1, 2, 3 etc. but, it displays

mssql_field_seek - Seeks to the specified field offset
SYNOPSIS
bool mssql_field_seek (resource $result, int $field_offset)
DESCRIPTION
Seeks to the specified field offset. If the next call to mssql_fetch_field(3) won't include a field offset, this field would be returned.
PARAMETERS
o $result
- The result resource that is being evaluated. This result comes from a call to mssql_query(3).
o $field_offset
- The field offset, starts at 0.
RETURN VALUES
Returns TRUE on success or FALSE on failure.
